In my 9-to-5 I supervise folks and lead projects. Sometimes I like to thank my team members for going above and beyond, so I’ll give them a little thank you card with a nice bar of candy. I found a cute little and cheap 8-pack of Thank You cards at Michaels Crafts the other day and picked them up. They’re pretty basic so I thought I could jazz them up with some ribbon I’ve had in my apartment for yeeaaaaaaars.
Step 1: Opened the card and wrapped the ribbon around the card one — closing the ribbon with a dab of hot glue.
Step 2: Make a little bow for the front of the card. To make the bow, I took a piece of ribbon about 5 inches long. Fold the ribbon in half. Open it up and fold the right side into a zig zag pattern, then do the same with the left size. Cut any extra ribbon. I only made two layers of zig zags, but you could make more if you’d like.
Step 3: To close this bow i added a piece of ribbon around it to sort of tie it down. See the steps below.
Step 4: Third, hot glue the bow to the band of ribbon that’s already around the card.
Step 5: Fourth, use a pencil, fork, or some sort of needle to puff out the bow.
You’re done! I like the card either way — with or without the frilly ribbon.
