The Los Angeles Fabric District has claimed a significant portion of my salary over the years. It’s impossible for someone like me not to go overboard down there. The fabric selection is out of this world, along with the prices. I can’t find anything close to it in the DC area, so when I’m in town I put aside some time to take a trip downtown.
I had a run-in with a giant bolt of burlap — $1 per yard. My gut instinct was to buy five yards, just because. Everything inside of me wanted those five yards, but I’m proud to say I resisted. I left the fabric district with one yard of burlap and a bacon-wrapped hot dog. Whew! But, I’ll be back for those four yards soon enough …
I have no idea what I’m going to do with this burlap, but I’ll let you know when I do! I’m also open to suggestions. 🙂
